PureAlign Labs ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of the information entrusted to us by dental professionals and their staff. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our platform, case submission system, and AI-assisted staff tools.
We collect information you provide directly to us when using PureAlign Labs services. This includes:
Account Information: When a dental practice registers or a staff member creates an account, we collect names, email addresses, clinic names, and professional credentials.
Case Submission Data: When doctors submit orthodontic cases, we collect patient initials, clinical prescription details (treatment goals, arch specifications, attachment instructions, IPR plans, and similar clinical parameters), and any uploaded files such as STL scans, X-rays, CBCT data, and photographs. We do not collect or require full patient names or national identification numbers.
Communication Data: Messages sent through our staff portal, WhatsApp communications uploaded to our knowledge base, and feedback submitted on AI responses are stored to improve our service quality.
Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with our platform, including log data, device information, browser type, and pages visited.
PureAlign Labs uses the information we collect for the following purposes:
Service Delivery: To process orthodontic case submissions, manufacture clear aligners, and communicate case status updates to referring dental practices.
Quality Assurance: To review case prescriptions, ensure manufacturing accuracy, and maintain our ISO quality standards throughout the production workflow.
AI Knowledge Base: Uploaded SOP documents and anonymized clinical communications are used to train and improve our internal AI assistant, which helps our Nemocast Design team answer technical questions. This data is used exclusively within PureAlign Labs and is never shared with third parties for AI training purposes.
Communications: To send case status updates, invoices, and service notifications to registered dental practices. We do not send unsolicited marketing communications without your consent.
Platform Improvement: To analyze usage patterns, diagnose technical issues, and improve the functionality of our platform.
PureAlign Labs operates as a dental laboratory and processes clinical data on behalf of referring dental practices. We treat patient-related data with the highest level of care:
Minimization: We require only the minimum clinical information necessary to manufacture aligners accurately. Case submissions use patient initials rather than full names. We do not request or store patient national ID numbers, addresses, or insurance information.
Confidentiality: All clinical case data is accessible only to authorized PureAlign Labs staff directly involved in case processing. Access is role-based and logged.
Retention: Completed case files are retained for a minimum of five years to support warranty claims, refinement requests, and clinical continuity. You may request deletion of case data after this period by contacting us directly.
Responsibility: Referring dental practices remain the primary data controllers for their patients' personal health information. PureAlign Labs acts as a data processor and handles clinical data solely according to the instructions of the referring practice.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or clinical data to any third party. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
Service Providers: We use trusted third-party infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, database services, file storage) to operate our platform. These providers are contractually bound to handle data securely and only for the purpose of providing services to PureAlign Labs.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, case and account data may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to the same privacy protections described in this policy.
We do not share clinical case data, patient initials, or prescription details with any party outside of PureAlign Labs operations.
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data:
All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security). Uploaded files including STL scans, X-rays, and CBCT data are stored in encrypted cloud storage with access controls. Staff accounts are protected by secure authentication, and administrative access requires additional verification.
Our internal AI assistant operates entirely within our secure infrastructure. Knowledge base content (SOP documents and chat logs) is never transmitted to external AI providers in identifiable form.
While we take reasonable precautions, no security system is impenetrable. We encourage you to use strong passwords and to notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.
Registered users and referring dental practices have the following rights regarding their data:
Access: You may request a copy of the personal data and case records we hold about you or your practice.
Correction: You may request correction of inaccurate account information or case details at any time through the platform or by contacting us.
Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data. Note that case records may be retained for the minimum five-year period described in Section 3 for warranty and clinical continuity purposes.
Portability: You may request an export of your case submission history and account data in a standard format.
Objection: You may object to certain uses of your data, including any future use for analytics or service improvement communications.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
We retain different categories of data for different periods based on operational and legal requirements:
Active account data is retained for as long as your account remains open. Case submission records, including prescription details and uploaded files, are retained for a minimum of five years from the case completion date to support refinements, warranty claims, and clinical audit requirements. AI feedback and correction notes are retained indefinitely to improve service quality. Staff portal chat logs are retained for two years.
Upon account closure, we will delete or anonymize personal account information within 90 days, subject to the case record retention requirements above.
PureAlign Labs is a professional B2B dental laboratory platform intended solely for use by licensed dental professionals and their authorized staff. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information through our platform, please contact us immediately at [email protected] and we will take prompt action to remove such information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email and display a notice on the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The date of the most recent revision is shown at the top of this page. Continued use of PureAlign Labs services after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
